A voyage between two worlds, imagined and orchestrated by Jean-Louis Mechali: an unexpected division, a bet, a true meeting enters the land and very rhythmic percussif world which incarnated by "Urbs" with their extravagant instruments designed starting from rebus of the very urbanized medium of the Island of France, and the fluid universe inspired of the vocal polyphonies of the Island of Beauty interpretées by the Corsican singer Gigi Casabianca and the "tromburbist" Jacques Nobili...

L'Allan,  Scene Nationale of Montbeliard again accomodates  Lutherie Urbaine résidence over the season 2005-2006 for the program "Trastulivoce" with the Corsican singer Gigi Casabianca and Jacques Nobili, trombonist. The first training course of construction and music framed by Gigi Casabianca and the Urbs musicians proceeded in November 05 with young people of the professional college Fernand Leger for construction and a class CHAM (class with arranged schedules Musique) of CM2 of the school of "Petit Chênois "for the songs.

"Trastulivoce" will be presented at the public in the presence of the young people and of the children at the Theatre of Montbeliard, February 10/06 to enclose this residence

 Musical spectacle intended for the young public (as from 5 years)"Bâ-Ti-boom" was presented at the public for the first time at the end of October 2005 at "Argo' Notes"/Maison Populaire of Montreuil within the framework of the "Festival of the Cities of the musics of the world" then at the castle of Saint-Ouen

This first meeting in 2002 of "Urbs" and Jean-Louis Mechali with young artists of Kinshasa was indeed an insane bet, but a madness of most creative...

The creation was elaborated in 2004, punctuated by intense sharing times in Mozambique at the  Franco-Mozambican Cultural Centre of Maputo.

In November 2004, the "Urbs", four young musicians of the Seine Saint-Denis and Moz' Urbs (made up of ten Mozambican artists and the singer Sandro Valadas) worked together during three weeks in Maputo to present the musical creation at the FMCC of Maputo on November 19, 2004.

At the end of November, the eleven musicians of the group Moz' Urbs were received in France for workshops and concerts. "Nhanssalà! "was presented within the framework of the Africolor Festival for the opening'sconcert.

A new album "Nhanssalà!" is available under the label of Lutherie Urbaine "Satïn Metal" including a CD and a DVD which recounts this adventure.

The musical Ensemble "Les Urbs" has rejoined  the "Moz'Urbs" for a tour in the french cultural centres and Alliances françaises in Mozambique, Swaziland, South Africa and Namibia.

 "Oboloway" is the first musical program produced by Lutherie Urbaine in 2002.

Oloboway was conceived into practice to put the objectives and the modes of development of creations of Lutherie Urbaine. It is the program which made it possible to make known specificities of stringed-instrument trade and stamps of our instruments and the originality of the musical step developed in following creations.
